I chose the Artificial Intelligence section of the library because the vintage look of the books caught my eye. The collection from the 1980s made me curious about early views on AI, and this shelf held a strong variety of books on this topic.
The timeline shows a cluster of AI-related publications between 1985 and 1990, representing an era of interest. After that, there's a noticeable gap until recenty activity begins which again in 2022 through 2024. This recent surge reflects the boom in AI, public awareness, and innovation. These two peaks highlight the past and the explosive growth of today’s AI.
The map shows that places like New York and Washington had the most AI books. Even though the authors didn’t work together, they wrote about similar topics around the same time in different parts of the world.
The map shows that most books were published in cities like New York, Chichester, and Amsterdam. These clusters tell us that AI research was happening in many places around the world, not just in one country.
